I am a hug fan of Mozilla Firefox because it makes my life easier when browsing the internet. One application that is very useful for me especially when I am blogging is the Scribefire add-on. I can add posts into my blog without actually logging into my Blogger account. I can even write and surf at the same time. When Scribefire is active, it splits the screen and you can blog at the lower part of the screen and surf at the upper part. Cool right?

I recently formatted my laptop since it keeps on stalling. Ofcourse, everything went back to its default settings and I really didn't dig the desktop wallpaper that MSI had. I searched and searched and found my top 5 wallpapers.
1. Dragon
2. Apple
3. Vista Wood
4. Windows 7
5. Windows Vista
Thank you to DowWallpaper.
I recently bought a notebook - MSI Wind u100 lxp8. I was wondering what will be the best wireless broadband to buy for me to be connected in the cyber world. Without canvassing, I purchased Globe's Limited Edition G.I Joe Prepaid Broadband Kit. Mom was the one who encouraged me to purchase since she said the signal is very good and so I did for Php 1,895. I bought one for my mom too.
Limited Edition G.I Joe Prepaid Broadband Kit comes with:
- Globe Broadband Tattoo USB modem
- Globe SIM Card
- Limited Edition G.I Joe Stickers (9pcs)
- 1 year service warranty for the USB modem
- Your own CD installer of popular e-Games offers Cabal, Audition and ZX Online
- Free 5 hours free internet time
I installed my Globe Broadband Tattoo into my netbook and it wasn't hard at all. It was quite frustrating because it doesnt load immediately and it takes about 3-5 minutes and most of the free 5 hours free internet time was consumed due to connecting and I spend about Php300-500/week. For someone like me who enjoys social sites I need a faster connection and cheap.
My friend from work has a Sun Wireless Broadband. I asked him how it was and he said it was the best wireless broadband that he ever had. For Php 799 monthly, he gets unlimited internet connection up to 7.6 Mbps within the 3G area. I was interested. I asked him if it's okay for me to borrow it for a day just to check if it will work in my area and he agreed. When I got home I installed it and checked it out. It connected but only gave me 256kbs. It was extremely slow. I wasn't really surprised since Sun has a thing with bad connection or no signal at all. I just returned it to him the following day and said maybe my area wasn’t within the 3G signal.
A few days after, I met Jeff again, the owner of the Sun Wireless Broadband that I borrowed. He told me, when he plugged the usb modem into his computer after I borrowed it, it had the same speed of 256kbs. He told me that my configurations were wrong and maybe that is why I am not getting the speed of 7.6 Mbps. Made me think. Maybe that was the reason.
Lynnette, another friend from work, also purchased a Sun Wireless Broadband. She told me that her connection reaches only 3.6 Mbps. The 7.6 Mbps was from the older plan and modem. 7.6 Mbps is now Php 1,399/month. Lynette told me that even though it’s only 3.6 Mbps, it was really fast and doesn’t disconnect. It’s only like the computers we use at work. Made me think again since computers are work are really fast.
The same day, I went to Sun and checked if my area was within their 3G signal. The areas that were covered with green are within the 3G area and the once without it doesn’t have signal at all. The saleslady asked me if my area was covered I said I was not sure. She said I have to be sure since there was no refund once I purchase the wireless broadband. I checked again and it seems to be in the 3G signal. I just thought, if it doesn’t work, I can sell it since a lot of people would like to transfer to Sun. Anyway, to cut it short I purchased it for Php 1,895 + 799 advance for the Postpaid.
Sun Wireless Broadband Kit comes with:
- Wireless Broadband USB modem
- Sun Sim
- Instructions
When I got home, I installed it right away to check if I wasted Php 2,694 in hopes that it will work. To my relief and prayers, it did! Amazing! Now, I know the reason why so many are switching to Sun Broadband.
I was left with my Globe Broadband Tattoo. It was useless to me already since I have my new baby Sun. So I sold my Globe for Php 1,500 and kept the Limited Edition G.I Joe Stickers. Since the Sun Broadband doesn’t have any stickers that came with it, I just placed it on my Sun Broadband to give it some good looking skin!

I am still in the process of creating my own blog. I want a space where in I could share my thoughts about certain things and express it through writing. Creating a blog would be the best way to communicate to many people and to utilize what I have learned these past years studying multimedia arts.
I am still experimenting and hopeful that through this blog experience, I will learn new things.
